Creative Media Enhancement Course

For several month the pupils on the imedia group with Mr. Platt have been working on a project to outline their coursework for an exhibition inThe Lowry Centre entitled "Salford, I am here!" The projects invovled have been diverse. From Mitchell Slevin's design of a modernistic tower block in Google sketchup to Connor Scott's Scrabble board animation. The school radio station was used to record the audio tracks where the pupils talk about their inspiration for the coursework they are udertaking. The final work will be presented as a booklet and a video format at the Lowry centre. Details on the dates of the exhibition will follow later, check back for updates.

Welcome to the New Website

The IT department have been woking hard to revamp the website. The pages you are now seeing are created using an open source package called Joomla. This has been refined for school use by the members of an internet forum at www.edugeek.net Joomla allows contect to be modified live on the website which will allow staff to login and create there own content "as it happens" rather than handing it to a web guru and waiting for it to be posted. This will allow a more flexible and creative space for members of the St. Ambrose Community to keep in touch with current events.
