Course Description

Year 10

In Health Social Care pupils are studying for a double award GCSE. The pupils study four units; Unit 1 - Understanding Personal Development and Relationships (exam) (20%); Unit 2 - Health, Social Care and Early Years Care and Education - Controlled Assessment (30%); Unit 3 - The Nature and Health and Wellbeing (exam) (20%); unit 4 - Promoting Health and Wellbeing (controlled assessment) (30%).

Year 11

Over Years 10 and 11 pupils will study; Unit 1: Coursework Assessed 33% of marks; Health, Social Care and Early Years Provision. Unit 2: Coursework Assessed 33% of marks; Promoting Health and Well Being. Unit 3: Examination 33% of marks; Understanding Personal Development and Relationships.
