Welcome to St Ambrose Barlow's Website

We are, first and foremost, a Catholic school where each child is nurtured during their time with us, to develop spiritually, academically, socially, morally and culturally.

Staff at St Ambrose Barlow have high expectations of our pupils. There are opportunities for every child here and they are expected to achieve at the highest level they are capable of.

We try to combine the best of traditional education with a strong partnership between home and school, high standards of behaviour and uniform, regular homework with the best in innovative and interactive teaching methodologies often using the latest technologies.

As an very successful school, St Ambrose Barlow has had two successive Outstanding Ofsted reports, is a High Performing Specialist School and has, this year, become a National School of Creativity.  The building of a new school on the Wardley site together with a 250 place 6^th Form college will enhance our ability to offer students a truly inspirational learning environment fit for 21^st Century education.

Out of the classroom, there are many activities, trips and visits designed to foster knowledge about the world and to develop confidence and self-esteem.
